Mudfish Adventures provides top quality rod building education by master rod builder, Capt. Steve (Scooby) Stubbe. Our two-day classes take place in Hemphill, TX at our customized training facility designed to give new rod builders a solid foundation in creating modern high performance custom fishing rods. Attendees will experience the entire building process including rod blank and component selection, rod design and layout, handle assembly, guide placement and wrapping, and finish coat application. After you finish building your first rod, you’ll no doubt be eager to go and fish it! Depending on the time of year you are here for your rod building class, there may also be some excellent backwater bass fishing opportunities available, so don’t forget to ask about a guided fishing with Mudfish Adventures.
